Playing an musical instrument as an hobby | Rehna hai tere dil me tune on bansuri | Ek Pyar ka Nagma hai tune on bansuri
We humans gets bored very easily, but with the invention of the mobile phones and the phones becoming smarter many of us have loosed our hobbies. Everytime we are busy in scrolling the feeds on our favorite social media website or playing the games on it.
This is not only bad for our eyes but it is bad for our brain as well. Over usage of the electronic gadgets may cause the health issues.
Well there are some of the things that you can do apart from using the phone in your free time and amongst that is playing an musical instrument.
Recently I got the craze to learn a musical instument , I was planning for the guitar but someone suggested to learn the bansuri / flute as it is one of the most easy to learn musical instrument. I started learning the bansuri from the youtube , there are so many good teacher available on the youtube that have the tutorials from the beginning. I just followed them and practising it.
It is suggested to learn playing the sargam once , and know the 7 surs first.
Closing which holes plays which sur that is something one should focus at the starting and then he shoudl move to play the alankars. The name alankars sound as if it is some kind of rocket science but trust me it is not. Playing the alankars you will have better control of the fingures and your brain will sync up with the notes you play and soon it will start understanding the combination of the surs and the fingure and will further make playing instrument easier for you.
But keep practising it each day , even if you dont have much time you can just play it for 10 mins in a day, this way you will learn it much quicker.
I also started learning the sargam first and then moved to the alankars , after practicing them I moved to play some of my favorite songs.
The first song I tried playing on the indian flute was pardesi pardesi jaana nahi , it tool almost 4-5 days to know the notes and to get the proper sound on the bansuri. But this gave me more experience in knowing the surs going up and down and how blowing differently may result in different result.
After that I tried playing another of my favorite song tune and that was the tune of the famous bolloywood movie Rehna hai tere dil me , the people from the 90's call it RHTDM.
The RHTDM tune is also very easy to play , it donot have any complex combination of the notes , it goes from top to bottom and then to the top
If you are interested it notes goes something like ,
Sa Re Ga | Re Sa Ni dha | Pa Dha Re |
Sa Re Pa | Re Sa Ni Dha | Pa Dha
This tune of rehna hai tere dil me is so mind pleasuring that once you learns playing it you feel like playing it contineously for whole day. [ NOTE: Your family members may kick you out for this]
well , below is the video of this song played by me :P [ Dont judge me , still learning to play
Yeah , did some mistake while playing it [ I am still learning and practicing wach day to play effectively].
If you are interested in knowing its notes it goes like this [ When playing from the Pa sur ]
Pa Dha Ni | Sa Re Sa Ni | Pa Dha Ni | Sa Re Sa Ni |
Sa Re Pa Ga | Re Pa Ga Re | Sa Ni Dha
Hope you will also play this amazing song with your bansuri and do share your experience on playing it.
Keep learning and keep playing and leave your phone alone for some time , pick up your instrument and start playing it.
Cheers :)
