How my stock market journey

It all began in 2007 when the stock market was at boom , my father used to invest few of his money in the stock market and he was doing great in that as most of the stocks he purchased were of great name in the market .

That was the time when every stock was booming in the market , my father used to teach me basics of the market by telling me the definations of many financial terms like market cap, shares, debentures, dividend etc etc .

He even let me trade for one day and asked me to choose any stock but he limited the quantity to 10. I remembered I picked UTI BANK, now it is known as Axis bank . That day I earned a profit of around 46 rupees on thay day. The activity involved was just buying and selling the stock in another few minutes just to experiment.

I was so happy to see that I earned 46 rupee ,that was my first earning and it meant a lot.

That was the day when I decided that one day I will be a investor in stock market as well.

Well , this was not just limited to this , my father used to ask me ro write down the price of few stocks in a notebook everyday from the televison.

My father during that time applied in many Ipo of reliance ,gvk power , reliance power etc etc and as we all know many of them didn't performed well. In 2008 when the stock markets fell down he didnt sold a single holding of his and even he invested in many other companies that were available for low cost.

But that was the time when many companies failed and even many companies after the 10 years are below those valuations.So in the stock market if there is a great pottential to earn money at the same time there is equal amount of pottential to loose money.

But still if you are a investor you will learn about many things that you usually dont learn normally. So that is how I got interested in stock market and have started investing my myself.

In the upcomming posts I may be telling about the stock market as one of the way to generate a passive income by the means of dividends and increase in the valuations.
